Cheers!

Earlier today, I spent some precious moments with most of my teammates. That was the last breakfast/get-together we will have as Team Vauxhall. Those people were part of my first team in the company where I work and I am grateful that I shared my first one year and seven months with them. Yes, we will still see each other at times, but not as often as we used to. So, to those who have been a part of Team Vauxhall, thank you so much for the memories!

Together, we are one of a kind.
Cheers to friendship!
Viva La Vauxhall!

You and I will meet again,
When we're least expecting it,
One day in some far off place,
I will recognize your face,
I won't say goodbye my friend,
For you and I will meet again.

Post-Mockingjay

An afterthought. This is the perfect ending to one of the best book trilogies I have read in my life. Get ready to have your heart wrenched. I read it with my eyes darting, my temples throbbing and my nose running. Suzanne Collins kept me wondering, and when I get to a point I think I can predict what will happen next, she will prove me wrong with her next paragraphs. I do not want to spoil anyone, but I think I'm gonna "burst into flames" soon if I wouldn't have anyone to talk to who has read this book. Team Peeta? Team Gale? No, Team Katniss! =)

Summing Up My Weekend

Salt

I can't believe that is it! I want more! I need more!

Oh well, that's what I thought after the end credits flashed on screen. The movie was action-packed. There was never a dull moment. It was awesome to think that Angelina Jolie did all her stunts and it doesn't bother me that she's been doing that type of a role a little too often now. She is not the kind of actress who will fall into the typecasting trap. The plot was unpredictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. It wasn't brain-racking, but still, the story kept me guessing. Sometimes, it's too much action, but then, there is still enough heart in it.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Last Olympian

It is a good way to end the series. It answered the nagging questions from the previous books yet it kept me longing for more adventures. After seven books, I thought it would have exhausted me, or worse, bored me but it didn't. The touchy and teary-eyed moments are still there. There is no anti-climax (thank goodness!) unlike a series I know. There was a lot of "growing up" themes, but the kid in me still felt at home. I guess the death count is not as surprisingly high unlike another series I know (hehe!). There were predictable parts though, but still, who wouldn't want a happy ending, right?
