Why is a raven like a writing desk?

I have been looking forward to this film for the longest time! Admittedly, I haven't finished reading Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass". I was distracted by other books. So, from a movie-goer's point of view, "Alice in Wonderland" was wonderful, pun intended, especially on digital 3-D! I am biased because I love Tim Burton films, Johnny Depp and the fact that most actors who voiced or played the characters are from Harry Potter movies. I am a fan of the music as I have been listening to "Almost Alice" the album for the past few days now. So, the story reminded me of bits and pieces of this animated version I watched as a kid. I have always found the characters quite disturbing, like the Red Queen and the Cheshire Cat, but I appreciated how their characters "mellowed" in this film and still remained their weirdness.

I go crazy whenever I hear the question, "Why is a raven like a writing desk?". I guess I should not fret in case I go bonkers because you see, all the best people are. In conclusion, I think this movie deserves a very vigorous Futterwack!
